Program Description

Ridekick sends one-to-one conversational SMS messages to dealership staff only in the context of a specific active vehicle negotiation that a buyer has authorized Ridekick to handle on the buyer's behalf. These messages are limited to pricing, out-the-door quotes, dealer fees or required add-ons, vehicle availability, and related purchase logistics for that specific vehicle. Ridekick does not send bulk or promotional messages to dealers.

How the Reply Channel Works

Ridekick uses a managed relay channel so the buyer can authorize dealer outreach without exposing the buyer's personal mobile number. Depending on the dealer's preferred contact path, Ridekick may present a buyer-facing name together with a Ridekick-managed email address and the Ridekick-managed reply number +1 (650) 887-5131.

Dealers should understand that messages sent to +1 (650) 887-5131 are part of an active negotiation workflow operated by PersonL, LLC d/b/a Ridekick on the buyer's behalf. The relay channel is used only to continue that same negotiation.

How Consent Is Collected

  1. A Ridekick user starts a vehicle negotiation and authorizes Ridekick to contact the dealer on the user's behalf.
  2. Ridekick contacts the dealer through the dealer's existing inquiry channel, such as email or the dealer's website contact form.
  3. When a dealer contact flow includes a phone field, Ridekick provides the Ridekick-managed reply number +1 (650) 887-5131 as the callback and text number for that active inquiry.
  4. Dealership staff opt in to SMS by sending the first text to +1 (650) 887-5131 or by explicitly asking that the existing negotiation continue by text using that number.
  5. Ridekick only continues the same active, vehicle-specific conversation after that opt-in. Ridekick does not cold text dealers and does not use this number for marketing campaigns.

Representative Dealer-Visible CTA

A representative dealer inquiry includes the Ridekick-managed phone number in the active vehicle inquiry so the dealership can respond by text if preferred.

If the dealer texts the Ridekick-managed number or asks Ridekick to continue that specific negotiation by text, that action is treated as consent to continue the vehicle-specific conversation by SMS.
